PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE, November 2017
THANK YOU FOR VOLUNTEERING FOR THE VARIOUS TASKS OF THE CLUB THIS YEAR.
The cooler season is definitely upon Central Florida. Daytime highs in the seventies, rather than nineties are most welcome. We can enjoy our Model A natural “air conditioning” on our fall drives. There is nothing to match the feel of our modern carriage travelling along at a brisk forty miles per hour, serenaded by those able four cylinders driving us so effortlessly. This is also the season to attend to all those maintenance items that are so easy to ignore in the heat of summer. If our symphony by Ford is punctuated with too many assorted squeaks, buzzes and outright bangs, it is time to DISCOVER and CORRECT. Those same cooler temperatures may cause low tire pressure which leads to excessive wear on those expensive tires. A blowout is not a fun experience in a vintage automobile! Also to be considered are those nagging details of various lubrication points, adjustments and fluid levels. We all stand ready to assist on technical matters within our experience.
WE MEET USUALLY THE FIRST SATURDAY OF EACH MONTH AT VARIOUS RESTAURANTS THROUGHOUT OUR LOCALITY.
